The Jacksonville Beach communities come alive in the spring with many traditional special events taking place, beach goers returning to the surf and sand and outdoor enthusiasts biking along the beaches or surfing or kayaking along the coast.
Some of the March events include the Florida Surfing Association’s Great Atlantic Surf Contest, the Great Atlantic Seafood Festival, the NCAA Collegiate Sand Volleyball Tournament.
Jacksonville Beach continues its tradition as the entertainment center of the Jacksonville region. Spring and summer are festival and concert season in the city by the sea. Fans of the blues, jazz, classical music, and movies are just a few of the many who are drawn to the nearly weekly events in Jacksonville Beach that offer family entertainment.
